When a relatively unknown artist can get an A-List television actress to Go Hard on his/her mixtape…THAT’S PIMPING!!!
An up and coming rap artist named Childish Gambino secured a host of notables for his latest musical offering including rappers RZA, Bun B, Danny Brown, and Schoolboy-Q called “Royalty.”
INCREDIBLY…Tina Fey, Executive Producer and Star of 30 Rock (who is probably best known for her dead-on Sarah Palin skits on Saturday Night Live), appears on a track called “Real Estate.” CRAZY RIGHT?
The comedic actress jumps into the driver’s seat of the track around the 5 minute mark and spits a few lines about ballin’ and having “Racks.”
You have to read Fey’s lyrics. The lyrics alone are stupid, dumb. Then, check out the track below:
Yeah we in here we in this thing. Gambino is forever. Royalty is forever. We ballin’ so we f–kin’ up the hardwood, homie. This the life we live, son .My president is black and my prius is blue. Motherf—r Royalty all day, we droppin’ racks at Nordstrom, son. That’s racks on racks, damn it, you feel me? You feel me? This is the part where most people would say something crazy and drop the n-word after it. Not going to, not gonna do that, I DON’T FEEL COMFORTABLE! I’m out.
This isn’t the first time Tina Fey has taken a stab at rapping. The actress once characterized a rap persona called Lemonem on 30 Rock.
Here’s the clip:
If you’re wondering who Childish Gambino is, here’s the intel on him:
Childish Gambino is the rap name of actor Donald Glover. Glover is best known for his recurring roles on Prime Time tv shows 30 Rock and Community. He signed a record deal with Glassnote records last year and released his first project, “Camp” in November 2011.
Now the whole Tina Fey cameo makes sense huh?
