“Love And Hip Hop Atlanta” star Joseline Hernandez caused quite a stir over the last few days with a controversial performance on the first episode of “Love And Hip Hop Atlanta” and with the release of nude pictures to prove her gender the following day.

Most people were turned off by the actions of the outspoken Latina and former stripper.  Joseline suffered intense scrutiny via Twitter and on blogs all over the ‘Net.  And Joseline’s crass responses (one of which we posted here) made Joseline look and sound like a straight Hood Rat.

But maybe there’s more than meets the eye with Joseline?  Maybe what we see and hear from this aspiring rapper is not all that she is…

In Joseline’s ”Love And Hip Hop” profile video below, Joseline explains her life before “Love And Hip Hop” fame.  The reality star reveals that she left home at age 13 and began stripping a few years later. She also reveals that it took 10 years for her to realize she deserved more…AND COULD HAVE better.

During those 10 years, Joseline did some regretful things to survive, which resulted at least once, in her arrest.

 But Joseline, whose real name is Shenellica Bettencourt, is no longer a street chick—struggling to survive on the harsh streets. Joseline is now a bona fide star thanks to a recurring role on one of VH1′s highest rated shows.
