On October 7th, we will all be able to see the finished product of this highly-anticipated NEW FILM.  Here’s the scoop:

Queen Latifah, Phylicia Rashad, Jill Scott, and Alfre Woodard play a group of close-knit friends who’s lives come together in a beauty shop in a small southern town.   At a recent press event, Queen Latifah talked about remaking a classic film in 18 days…and working with an A-List cast.  Here’s what she told reporters:

“We got a great cast.”

We [bonded] together to make sure we got the job done, to make sure we really  delivered for the viewer.”

She went on to say this about celebrating Jill Scott’s 40th birthday and how she connecting with Cosby Show wife Phylicia Rashad:

[During Jill's celebration} "We just kind of took a moment, looked at each other, and thought 'Wow, this is  pretty amazing," "We all admired each other so much."

[Phylicia Rashad] is the  world’s mom.  How can you have Clair Huxtable [on set] and not pick her brain?” Queen continued…”Phylicia has much more cool points than Clair ever even had.  She’s  got all that [Clair Huxtable had] and then some.”
