Rap-Pop group Karmin, who gained Youtube fame and a record deal from covering songs like Super Bass and Look At Me Now, are back with another cover classic. This time however, Karmin takes Drake’s single “Started From The Bottom” and uses the Hip Hop track to trash a few of your favorite female MC’s.
Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea and Azealia Banks get the hammer from the band’s frontwoman Amy Heidemann. She raps,
I ain’t happy seeing how it is
Stop all the comparing me
No Nicki Minaj-erie
Let me out the cage so I can fizz
Cause all the femininity is looking for a rapper queen
Banking on Azealia and Iggy
Pretty damn amazing what you’ll do to be a star.
Okay. So why is Karmin tripping on Nicki, Iggy and Azealia? It seems, the group is a little salty their debut album “Hello” didn’t win them any new fans or accolades. In fact, Rolling Stone gave the album 1 star. What was supposed to be a BREAK-THROUGH YEAR, turned out to be just ANOTHER YEAR.
After attracting 1,000,000+ followers on Youtube and over 210,000,000 video views…the crew have found out the hard way that the road to the top from the bottom…is often longer than you think!
