Missy Elliot was a good friend of music executive Chris Lighty.  In honor of his passing, Missy–who worked with Lighty when he co-managed her career during this tenure at Violator Music Management–performed a song that Chris had a big hand in making a hit.

Missy performed “Get Ur Freak On” last night in honor of her friend and former manager.  Her performance was just part of a exciting set that included Fat Joe, 50 Cent, Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes and others.
