Unlike many rap stars with cooling careers, Missy Elliot is still “About That Life!” The oh so talented, Platinum-selling Elliot can still afford to live like A Boss–recently purchasing a $400,000 Lamborghini Aventador (in white) from a car dealership here in Illinois.
The dealership sold the Aventador to Missy for $376,000. Missy put $30,000 down on the exotic vehicle and then traded-in her 2005 Bentley to close the deal. Fox Valley Motor Cars (in true Chi-town style) agreed to deliver the Lambo to Missy by mid 2012, but changed their minds about doing that sometime prior to the expected delivery date.
They claim the sale price offered to Missy is lower than the current market price for the vehicle. In other words, “We can get more from somebody else, so bump you Missy and the boat you rode in on!”
You see, the Lamborghini Aventador is an exclusive vehicle. Only so many are made. This scarcity ups the market value of the vehicle and makes finding one to buy a little bit of a challenge.
Missy has hired a team of lawyers to sort out the Lambo mess. And if she wins her case, Misdemeanor Elliot could get the car and some extra cash for damages.
