The B.E.T ‘Black Girls Rock’ Awards went down Saturday night AT THE PARADISE THEATER IN NEW YORK. The award show is a partnership between B.E.T. and non-profit organization ‘Black Girls Rock,’ which is “a youth empowerment and mentoring organization established to promote the arts for young women of color.”* This year’s show was hosted by actresses Traci Ellis Ross (Girlfriends) and Regina King (Southland). Brandy, Keisha Cole, Ciara, Alicia Keys, India Arie, and SWV perform at the event; and singers Janelle Monae, Alicia Keys, Dionne Warwick and other were honored with awards.
