Lauryn Hill’s Mug Shot Released, The Rapper Looks Older AND More Matronly Than We Remember [SEE THE PIC + GET THE DETAILS]

The mug shot from Lauryn Hill’s June 2o12 arrest has surfaced!  And, mama looks much older and unexpectedly more matronly than we’re used to seeing her.  The face that Hip Hop fans grew to love back in the mid 1990′s when Hill was 1/3 of the rap trio The Fugees, is now colored with anger and rebellion–attributes Hill is more notable for in recent years than quality music.

For Lauryn Hill fans, the release of the mug shot evaporates the hope that another classic album (like The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill) will EVER come from the former Queen of Rap.  Sadly we must stop stannin’ for The Return of Lauryn Hill.  That ain’t happening!  Lauryn Hill is no longer a Rap Queen…and it looks like…she never will be!

Hill’s arrest stemmed from the female rapper’s refusal to pay income taxes–something all sane Americans know is financial suicide AND COULD LEAD TO THE WESLEY SNIPES TREATMENT!  (SEE PHOTO BELOW) Following her arrest in June, Lauryn published a rambling statement on her blog about not being controlled by “the man” and insulating herself from the capitalistic atrocities of “the man.”  Okay, she didn’t exactly say that…but essentially that’s what homegirl was saying.

For those who are interested, here is part of Lauryn’s rant about WHY SHE CHOSE NOT TO PAY TAXES:

For the past several years, I have remained what others would consider underground.  I did this in order to build a community of people, like-minded in their desire for freedom and the right to pursue their goals and lives without being manipulated and controlled by a media protected military industrial complex with a completely different agenda.  Having put the lives and needs of other people before my own for multiple years, and having made hundreds of millions of dollars for certain institutions, under complex and sometimes severe circumstances, I began to require growth and more equitable treatment, but was met with resistance.

As my potential to work, and therefore earn freely, was being threatened, I did whatever needed to be done in order to insulate my family from the climate of hostility, false entitlement, manipulation, racial prejudice, sexism and ageism that I was surrounded by.  This was absolutely critical while trying to find and establish a new and very necessary community of healthy people, and also heal and detoxify myself and my family while raising my young children.

Lauryn Hill is currently free on an unsecured $150,000 bond.  Her case goes to trial November 27, 2012.  If Hill is convicted of non-payment of income taxes and/or she doesn’t come up with the hundreds of thousands of dollars the IRS is owed, she could be sentenced to serve 3 years in prison.

Pssst!  Somewhere Lauryn’s babies’ day (of 5) Rohan Marley  is thanking God he jumped ship before this ship sank!
