Kat Stacks Pleads For Mercy As The ‘Free Kat Stacks’ Campaign Gains Traction [VIDEO]

Kat Stacks is a notorious Hip Hop groupie! Her claim to fame? Sleeping with Hip Hop power players like Lil Wayne and Soulja Boy, to name a few.

For a hot minute, Stacks was leading the groupie charge–following close on the heels of her slutty predecessor, Karrine Steffans. But, in the midst of a hot run as America’s Favorite Hip Hop Groupie, Kat Stacks was arrested and detained by the United States federal government for being in the country illegally.

Stacks, whose real name is Andrea Herrera, has been locked-up in a United States detention facility since November 5, 2010.  Unless released on appeals, Kat Stacks will be deported back to her homeland of Venezuela soon–a country she hasn’t seen or visited in 10+ years.

Understandably, Kat Stacks’ mother is on a crusade to save her daughter.  Johnyelsi Cardenas or Mama Stacks if you like, is working with social workers and lawyers to free her daughter from prison AND to help her gain legal citizenship here in the United States.  Mama Stacks has started a website and is in contact with media outlets, all in an effort to raise money for her daughter’s legal defense.  Cardenas pleads with non-supporters and naysayers via MamaStacks.Com to empathize with her daughter.  The desperate mother (who is caring for Kat’s 2-year old son) says Kat’s situation calls for “some degree of mercy.”

In the Free Kat Stacks Promotion Video below, Kat talks to Kim Wu of the Metro Proponent Newspaper about changing her life around after being arrested.  In addition to being drug and alcohol free, Kat reports she is attending Bible study and taking medicine to address psychological issues.  She claims her street-running, Wild Child days are over!  The notorious Hip Hop Groupie says she is now focused on living a sober, responsible life and caring for her young son.  (Tell it to the judge…we say)

In part Kat says,

“Detention was a blessing and disguise.  (Before detention I would) wake up and drink a bottle of Hennessy or Patron.  I thought the street was my family…and I thought that, that was where the real love was.”

We ain’t buying Kat’s “I’ve Changed My Ways” Campaign, but who are we to judge anybody’s efforts to get free?
