When Angelina Jolie’s career hit a snag and she was getting no love in the press…homegirl revamped her image and OVERNIGHT became the humanitarian movie star EVERYONE LOVES today!
You see, Angelina had married an older, peculiar-looking guy named Billy Bob Thorton. The two made an odd pair…and not in a good way. Not good for a budding movie star! In fact, they once showed up on the red carpet after a romp in the limo on the way to an event. Angelina boldly announced to a stunned press, that the two had engaged in an oral transaction intimate moment in the limo while driving to the event. Another time, Angelina showed up on the red carpet with leather pants, a halter top and a vial of Billy Bob Thorton’s blood around her neck. AND…once Angelina and her biological brother kissed intimately on the mouth during the press run at a red carpet event.
Those things plus a number of other rumors and speculations about the star had the media and movie studios giving Angelina the side-eye. Critics dubbed Angelina a “good actress” but Angelina’s public image (which means her bankability) was VERY POOR!!!
In an oh-so-wise TWIST…Angelina suddenly involved herself with the United Nations! She became their world-wide spokesperson and attended numerous events talking about world atrocities. Next thing we knew, Angelina adopted her first child–an asian boy named Maddox. Within months Angelina’s image in the press went from “Wild Child, Man-Stealing-Floozy” to respected movie star and honored single mother.
THAT CHANGE IN IMAGE took Angelina from movie star to MOVIE SUPERSTAR…and years later, Angelina is still riding off of the humble, honorable image she created years ago!
Now, on to Beyoncé!!!
Beyoncé is one of the craftiest singers in the world. And that’s a good thing. Because if she wasn’t smart…if she wasn’t crafty…she wouldn’t still be a marquee music artist 15 years after the start of her professional career.
We have to call Queen Bey out on something though! First, we should tell you what your girl Beyoncé has been up to…

It “began with a cryptic message on Beyoncé’s website a couple weeks ago, which read “Leave your footprint on 19 August 2012.” That was followed by a PSA video urging fans to get involved for World Humanitarian Day and Friday night Beyoncé added another piece to the equation, performing “I Was Here,” at the United Nations in New York.
The 30-year-old star had appeared at the United Nations earlier in the day, where she rehearsed her performance of “I Was Here” and met with members of the United Nations.
Did you peep the game? Beyonce is doing the “Angelina Jolie Image Makeover Plan”—and she’s doing one heck of a job!!!
I mean, what is a pop star to do when her fame dwindles and looks like it might plateau? BECOME A HUMANITARIAN OF COURSE!!! Ask yourself, what else can a highly visible, long-time celebrity do to change their image and recreate themselves for fans and media? When you’re in the (music) game as long as Beyoncé, putting out videos and attending award shows just doesn’t cut it. The next best thing is…promoting a WORLD CAUSE!!!
Think about it! You’re guaranteed press! You get people talking! You gain popularity! And most importantly…you re-image yourself as a humble-honorable celebrity!

We don’t blame Beyoncé for thinking outside to box to solve her dwindling popularity. After all, that 6 month-long pregnancy and deflating belly bump worked Bey’s popularity with press and public to the ground. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do right?
We just had to let you all know…that what you ARE NOW SEEING QUEEN BEY DO…ISN’T NECESSARILY THE NEW FOCUS OF OUR DESTINY’S CHILD. If we’re being totally honest (and oh so revealing) what you are now seeing Beyoncé do with the United Nations is a planned, plotted, progressive campaign to improve the Pop singer’s public image.

Most skillfully, she dictates terms to celebrity magazines involving their coverage of her and her family, editors say, creating an awkward situation for publications that try to abide by strict journalistic standards.
