Hip Hop couples Ashanti and Nelly AND Kim Kardashian and Kanye West showed up at one of the biggest fundraising events of the year–The Angel Ball.

The Angel Ball is an annual fundraising event for cancer research.  The event was founded by legendary songwriter Denise Rich, who’s daughter died of cancer.  This year’s event–which Bill and Hillary Clinton have attended in the past–was held October 22nd in New York City at Cipriani Wall Street.  Celebs such as Natalie Cole, Stephen Baldwin, Clive Davis, Star Jones, Solange and Tina Knowles, Smokey Robinson, and many others came out to support the cancer-fighting cause.

This year The Angel Ball raised $3.7 million dollars!

Rapper Nelly attended the event with his long-time girlfriend (singer) Ashanti and performed his hit song “Hot in Here.”  Nelly joked with journalists that he bought a new pair of teeth for the event.  (WTF)  His usual diamond-studded grill was nowhere to be found.  But he made up for that conversation flub with a sexy performance that had everyone bopping to the beat.

Kim Kardashian, who is a friend of Denise’s, attended the event with her new beau Kanye.  The couple talked to party goers, seeming to thoroughly enjoy each other’s company. (SEE PICS BELOW)
