T.I’s wife Tiny used to be one of the stars of the girl group Xscape! Then she wrote a few hit songs…had a few kids…and married one of the biggest rap stars in Hip Hop. Some girls have all the luck…
Today, you’ll find Tiny managing the career path of her daughter’s group–The OMG Girlz…or playing the right hand woman of husband/rapper T.I. and super mom of 6 on her reality show…
T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle.
Sometime next year, Tiny’s late night talk show–”Tiny Tonight”–will debut. It (in Tiny’s words) “It’s a younger, next generation of ‘The View.” So look for that…and possibly a lingerie line (if T.I. approves).
So how does Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris keep winning…how does she maintain a healthy marriage, happy kids, and a career of her own? Read her interview with Rolling Out Magazine and find out!

Tameka ‘Tiny’ Harris: From the Bedroom to the Boardroom … Tiny Rules
In the moments leading up to rolling out’s cover shoot with Tameka “Tiny” Harris, the talented singer, wife and businesswoman huddled in a corner with me to discuss our strategy for her photo shoot. We covered the best way for us to portray everything that she had going on in her life — from artist management to motherhood to a successful VH1 reality show. That was the million-dollar question.
Do we stage an elaborate alter ego shoot, where we pit her softer side against her more dominant, aggressive inner being? That was one thought. But as the two of us congregated in a quiet corner of DR Photography studio to discuss strategy, an undeniable truth became evident: the only way to articulate the true essence of Harris was to strip down all the pretense and play it straight.
It was the perfect strategy, seeing as how she had chosen to live her life in unbridled authenticity. So we stripped away the glamour and arrived at the true Tameka ”Tiny” Harris — a woman who was buoyed by love and driven by her quest to be the best woman that she can be.
In the end, that was really the only strategy that made sense. And the results — as you will soon see and read — will speak for themselves.
It’s common knowledge that you have gone from being just an artist to a woman who is intimately involved in so many aspects of the entertainment industry. How do you continue to evolve and add these impressive notches to your belt? I think a large part of it is that I actually love what I’m doing. I enjoy being behind the scenes when it comes to the music, and I think that one of my greatest achievements is creating the OMG Girlz. I say that because I built them from scratch, so seeing them evolve and grow means so much to me … it shows me that my hard work and ideas are paying off.
Speaking of the OMG Girlz, do you ever experience déjà vu when you see them going through situations that were reminiscent of your time with Xscape? Yes, I do. Just dealing with the girls, I definitely feel it. I just try to talk to them and give them advice based on the things that I went through personally. Those are my babies, though … it’s my daughter and my nieces so it’s easy and it’s better.
Being a businesswoman seems to come easy to you, but how have you balanced that with being married? After being in a longtime relationship (with rap star T.I.), has marriage changed anything? A lot of people say that things change — and maybe my husband might say something different — but I don’t really see much of a change. I just feel like I’ve been doing some of the same things as a married woman, that I was doing years before … so it’s kind of like continuing on with the papers now. Honestly, I’m just enjoying it. I’m enjoying being called a wife, because it’s different than just being in a relationship … it feels a little better now.
