American Idol Will Keep Nicki Minaj And Mariah Carey As Judges: ‘This Is The Best Judging Panel We’ve Ever Had!’

While fans and critics pooh poohed all the hula baloo this week between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey…it seems American Idol producers are pleased with not only Nicki…but Mariah Carey as well.

Producers just issued a statement, which clearly shows they are standing with and behind their star-studded panel of judges.  Here’s what they told MTV News:

“This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we’ve ever had. We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next American Idol.”

“Despite all the accusations and media speculation — much of which is inaccurate — production is going extremely well today and the judges are focused on finding the best talent here in Baton Rouge.”

Seems like Nicki Minaj and Mariah both got a pass for their unprofessional behavior this week…
